The Brief
Our brief was to produce a 2 minute case study film that captures Viasat’s role in tackling this important global issue. Viasat’s satellite technology, combined with RESOLVE’s AI-powered, rugged wildlife tracking cameras, provides real-time
transmissions and remote connectivity in these extremely remote areas. This solution gives ranchers unprecedented visibility of their land, enabling them to monitor and report trespassers, animals crossing invisible boundaries and protect wildlife.
Capturing the Stories
To bring this story to life, we focused on the dedicated biologists working on the front lines: Eric Dinerstein, Director of Biodiversity and Wildlife at RESOLVE, and Robert Crabtree, Chief Scientist at Yellowstone. Our creative approach involved capturing the raw, earthy
tones of the Yellowstone landscape, contrasted with the vivid imagery of wildlife. We used animation in a scrapbook-style design, recreating real newspaper headlines to emphasise the urgent need for action.
Creative Approach
The result was a powerful and emotive film that not only showcases Viasat’s cutting-edge satellite technology, but also tells a compelling human story of conservation and innovation.
Viasat’s satellite technology and RESOLVE’s camera system are truly “bringing together science and technology to rewild and restore ecosystems.”
